Mechanical HVAC Project Engineer / Estimator M-23 Mechanical Systems is looking for an experienced Mechanical HVAC Project Engineer / Estimator to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position involving both HVAC estimating and project management for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate has commercial HVAC experience, can read plans and specifications, understands construction, and is comfortable working directly with General Contractors, suppliers, vendors, and field personnel. Responsibilities Attend job walks and evaluate existing field conditions. Review plans, specifications, addenda, and equipment schedules. Perform HVAC takeoffs and prepare accurate estimates. Obtain equipment and material pricing from suppliers and manufacturers. Prepare proposals, scope letters, inclusions/exclusions, and change orders. Coordinate HVAC equipment and material procurement. Prepare and track submittals and RFIs. Work directly with General Contractors, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to coordinate projects. Assist with project schedules, budgets, costs, and overall project coordination. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and coordination. Work closely with our field team to resolve construction issues and keep projects moving. Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Qualifications 2+ years of commercial HVAC/mechanical construction experience preferred. Experience in HVAC estimating, project engineering, or project management. Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical plans and specifications. Experience with job walks, HVAC takeoffs, proposals, submittals, RFIs, and change orders. Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and construction practices. Experience working with General Contractors and suppliers. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and take ownership of responsibilities. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
