Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, performing preventive maintenance, responding to guest repair requests, and maintaining inventory. You will troubleshoot maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner so we can provide the best possible service to our guests. This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys a balance of independent work and teamwork, likes solving problems, and takes pride in keeping the property in top shape. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and make repairs in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems Respond quickly and professionally to guest maintenance requests and internal work orders Conduct daily property walk-throughs, complete duty round checklists, and address issues as needed Perform routine and preventive maintenance to keep equipment and building systems running properly Keep maintenance spaces, work areas, and any affected guest or public areas clean and safe during repair. Install, maintain, and repair appliances, light fixtures, door hardware, and similar items Check and maintain safety systems, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and ventilation Support outdoor upkeep, such as maintaining trash areas and helping with minor landscaping tasks Work with vendors and contractors when outside support is needed Keep the Chief Engineer and General Manager informed about major repairs or safety concerns What We're Looking For Minimum of one year of hotel or facilities maintenance experience in a similar role Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices Comfortable using hand tools and power tools, and reading technical manuals or schematics Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Able to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings Additional Details This position may require working weekends, holidays, or variable shifts based on business needs.
