Job Title:
Facilities Engineering Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineering Technician to perform corrective and preventative maintenance on building systems and lab equipment. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues across our state-of-the-art facility and maintaining GMP documentation using CMMS software. The technician will support off-hours emergency repairs and on-call duties, supervise external vendors, and inspect completed work while operating and monitoring building automation systems. Responsibilities Perform daily inspections and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems to ensure uninterrupted facility operations. Conduct hands-on work with mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, pumps, chillers, boilers, and lab equipment such as autoclaves and cryogenic units. Maintain cGMP compliance by accurately logging maintenance activities in CMMS, preferably Blue Mountain, to meet FDA and GMP standards. Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors to ensure quality work and adherence to safety and regulatory protocols. Essential Skills Facilities Engineering Mechanical systems Electrical systems CMMS proficiency FDA and GMP compliance 5+ years of experience in facilities Hands-on experience with chemical manufacturing equipment Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Additional Skills & Qualifications Associates degree Experience in biopharma or cell/gene therapy facilities CFC refrigerant license Building automation systems experience Blue Mountain CMMS software proficiency Work Environment The Facilities Technician will work in a state-of-the-art lentiviral vector manufacturing facility located in Louisville, CO. This is an on-site role requiring daily presence at the Louisville facility, emphasizing a collaborative culture with a focus on teamwork and diverse perspectives. The facility operates under strict cGMP guidelines, necessitating high safety and quality standards. The role demands the use of PPE and involves physical activities such as standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 30 lbs. The technician will support both routine and emergency maintenance, including on-call availability. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.64 - $40.34/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
