Job Description
Design Build Sales Engineer Branford, Connecticut $120,000 - $155,000 + Commission + Progression + Bonuses + Full Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) + 401k Are you an experienced HVAC professional with a strong technical background and a passion for sales, customer relationships, and solution development? This is an exciting opportunity to join a long-established provider of commercial HVAC, building automation, and energy management solutions. The company offers the opportunity to work on complex projects while combining technical expertise with customer-focused sales and business development. In this position, you'll take ownership of the sales process from initial customer engagement through contract award, developing tailored HVAC, building automation, and energy management solutions that meet client requirements, budgets, and timelines. You'll work closely with engineering, estimating, building automation, and project teams to develop competitive designs, scopes, estimates, and proposals. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, commercially minded professional to play a key role in developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, and delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions.
The Role:
- Develop new business and manage existing customer relationships, taking ownership of the sales process from initial engagement through contract award
- Lead the development of HVAC, building automation, and energy management solutions, working with engineering and estimating teams to produce accurate scopes, designs, estimates, and proposals
- Coordinate project handovers and maintain strong communication with customers and internal teams to ensure requirements, budgets, designs, and timelines remain aligned
The Person:
- Industry experience, including HVAC solution development, technical sales, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of HVAC engineering, building automation, and energy management
- Proven ability to build customer relationships, develop technical proposals, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams
