Job Description

Engineer IV HVAC Marriott International, Inc. seeks an experienced HVAC Engineer IV to support our Hospitality & Travel properties within the Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management team. In this senior role, you will lead complex HVAC design, operation, and optimization for hotels and resorts, ensuring guest comfort, reliability, and code compliance. Responsibilities include system diagnostics, preventive and predictive maintenance planning, vendor management, capital project support, and energy-efficiency initiatives. You will mentor junior engineers and technicians, champion safety, and collaborate cross-functionally in Marriott's inclusive, people-first culture. Responsibilities Lead HVAC operation, optimization, and reliability for assigned hotel and resort properties Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for HVAC systems Diagnose complex HVAC issues and provide advanced troubleshooting support to field teams Support design review and commissioning for HVAC components in capital and renovation projects Ensure compliance with mechanical codes, safety standards, and Marriott engineering policies Drive energy-efficiency initiatives and monitor performance via BAS and analytics tools Manage vendor and contractor relationships for HVAC services and equipment Prepare technical reports, specifications, and lifecycle cost analyses Mentor and train junior engineers and engineering technicians Collaborate with property leadership to align HVAC performance with guest satisfaction goals Required Skills HVAC system design and operation Building automation systems (BAS) and controls Chiller and boiler plant operations Energy modeling and analysis Preventive and predictive maintenance planning HVAC load calculations and sizing Mechanical and building codes compliance Project management and capital planning Vendor and contractor management Technical documentation and reporting
