Full-time Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Engineer to oversee all mechanical operations of a luxury high-rise residential property. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining world-class building performance, managing engineering contractors, and ensuring a seamless, high-end living experience for residents. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and a proactive, self-motivated mindset.

Job Type:
Full-time Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.•4:30 p.m. , on call as rotation Emergency response as needed

Responsibilities:
Oversee operation and maintenance of all building systems including central plant (chillers, boilers, cooling towers), HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems Monitor and optimize Building Automation Systems (BAS) for efficiency, comfort, and energy performance Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and Standard Operating Procedures & 10-year asset protection plans. Address potential areas of concern and propose solutions in a proactive manner Lead system upgrades, and major repairs Assist in managing engineering budgets, including forecasting and cost control Coordinate and supervise vendors, contractors, and inspections Ensure compliance with all codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Maintain detailed documentation including logs, reports, and compliance records Respond to emergencies and provide leadership during critical incidents Interact professionally with residents, board members, and property staff members
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in high-rise building engineering, with leadership experience required Strong expertise in complex HVAC systems EPA Universal Certification required Demonstrated experience with BAS and energy management systems Proven leadership, team management, and project management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in high end environments
Certifications:
Stationary Engineer License (if applicable in your municipality) Experience in luxury condominiums, hotels, or Class A commercial properties LEED or energy management certifications OSHA Certification (a plus) EPA Certification (Universal or Type II)
HVAC Certification or Trade School Training Work Location:
In person, on-site at the condominium complex in Marco Island, FL.
Work Environment:
Luxury, resident-focused environment requiring professionalism, discretion, and high service standards. Regular presence in mechanical spaces and interaction with residents and ownership.
