Job Description
Lead HVAC and plumbing system design, multidisciplinary project execution, technical analysis, and code-compliant construction documentation for projects. Must have a PE License Job Requirements U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident required. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering required. 10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience. Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems. Experience with HVAC load calculation software. Proficiency with AutoCAD. Proficiency with Revit. Project management experience and/or related certifications. Experience interpreting technical drawings and construction documents. Knowledge of applicable mechanical, energy, and plumbing codes. Experience preparing ductwork plans, piping plans, sections, isometric piping drawings, and bills of materials. Experience performing HVAC calculations and engineering analysis using standard industry software. Job Responsibilities Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and institutional projects. Manage multiple concurrent mechanical engineering projects. Lead mechanical design activities and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams. Develop HVAC and plumbing drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation. Perform HVAC load calculations and system analysis using industry-standard software. Prepare ductwork layouts, piping plans, sections, isometric drawings, and bills of materials. Review designs for compliance with mechanical, energy, plumbing, and other applicable codes. Ensure designs meet project and technical standards. Manage project budgets and schedules. Coordinate technical project requirements across engineering disciplines. Develop fee and qualifications-based project proposals. Review and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings. Support project execution from design through construction documentation #GRP2
