at Department of Transportation in Peoria, Illinois, United States Job Description Essential Functions Develops and implements plans and programs to ensure year-round maintenance of bridges. Directs inspections, minor repair work, and routine maintenance of all bridges in the district to determine repair of maintenance required at each structure. Compiles records and prepare reports regarding bridge maintenance for accounting purposes. Reviews as requested preliminary bridge plans for future construction to ensure needs are being addressed. Attends field review inspections as requested for final acceptance of bridge construction. Trains, motivates, and evaluates subordinate personnel. Supervises or aids in emergency maintenance. Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules. Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
