ENGINEER / MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, Chicago | Schaumburg, IL $34.11-$37.55/hour | Hourly Position The Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, Chicago is seeking an experienced and dependable Engineer / Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe, well-functioning property and understands the importance Engineering plays in both the guest experience and hotel operations .

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel. Respond to guest-room and operational maintenance requests. Troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment. Perform general electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical repairs within authorized scope. Inspect equipment and property areas for maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain accurate preventive-maintenance and repair records. Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues. Follow established safety procedures, including applicable Lockout/Tagout requirements. Assist with maintaining guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces in excellent working condition. Work collaboratively with hotel departments to minimize disruption to guests and operations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Ideal candidates will have prior hotel, commercial building or facilities maintenance experience and a strong working knowledge of general building systems. Candidates should be safety-conscious, dependable, comfortable troubleshooting problems and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Availability to work a flexible hotel schedule, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays , is required based on business needs.

COMPENSATION

$34.11-$37.55 per hour
