Cabot has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. This person will work with the Operations and Reliability Staff in developing and implementing maintenance plans for the plant by identifying upcoming maintenance projects, major equipment repairs and replacements to optimize the availability and productivity of manufacturing facilities and equipment while reducing machine downtime. The Maintenance Engineer will work on-site at the Tuscola, IL plant. How You Will Make anImpact:
- Identifies, recommends and implements equipment repairs of stationary and rotating equipment by working with manufacturers, OEM & RSQUO's and outside repair shops
- Develops standard new equipment specifications and repair procedures for equipment in critical applications. Responsible for instrumentation, mechanical equipment and piping specifications.
- Assists in the design, procurement and installation of new equipment. Develop plant-wide Standard Maintenance Procedures for Maintenance Work Process and equipment maintenance. documentation.
- Provides guidance on material selection for maintenance and capital replacements
- Monitors maintenance projects and progress, external contractors in accordance with all site regulations and standards.
- Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
Cabot:
- Knowledge in areas such as confined space entry, lockout / tag-out, hot-work permitting, etc.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Knowledge/background in welding processes preferred
- Knowledge of instrumentation and equipment design and repair
- Basic knowledge of equipment lubrication
- Knowledge of ASME codes
- Bachelor/University degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Minimum two years experience in an appropriate manufacturing environment.

- The salary range for this role is from $86,500 to $119,000. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role is eligible for comprehensive benefits on the first day of employment and an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance. Learn more about our benefits here!
