Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Bilingual HVAC Engineer (Mandarin/English) to support industrial construction projects. This position will work closely with English-speaking and Mandarin-speaking project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and engineers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, field coordination experience, and the ability to communicate engineering and construction-related information effectively in both Mandarin and English. Responsibilities Review HVAC drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals. Coordinate HVAC installation activities with field teams and subcontractors. Support installation of HVAC equipment, ductwork, ventilation, exhaust, and piping systems. Identify field conflicts and coordinate technical solutions. Review RFIs, field changes, and design clarifications. Conduct field inspections and track construction progress. Support testing, commissioning, punch list, and project closeout activities. Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and project management teams. Communicate technical information between Mandarin-speaking and English-speaking teams. Assist with bilingual technical meetings, documentation, and field coordination as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of HVAC engineering, construction, or field coordination experience preferred. Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English is required. Ability to communicate technical and construction-related information in both languages. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Experience with industrial or manufacturing construction projects preferred. Familiarity with HVAC equipment, ductwork, ventilation, exhaust, and piping systems. Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Navisworks, or similar software is a plus.
