Job Description

Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, is seeking a Technical Engineer to support a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Lebanon, IN. This contract-to-hire role is ideal for an experienced facilities engineering professional with a strong background in HVAC, water, and compressed air systems. The Technical Engineer will provide technical leadership, optimize preventive maintenance programs, support equipment reliability initiatives, and partner with maintenance teams to ensure critical building systems operate efficiently. Schedule is Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM. Responsibilities Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability. Develop and enhance preventive maintenance (PM) programs and detailed job plans for facility equipment. Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance technicians across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical disciplines. Validate commissioning documentation and startup information for new equipment and facility systems. Conduct asset lifecycle evaluations and recommend maintenance or replacement strategies. Oversee engineering operations and coordinate work performed by technicians, vendors, and subcontractors. Schedule preventive maintenance activities to minimize operational downtime. Inspect completed work to ensure equipment is fully functional and meets quality standards. Respond to equipment issues and support emergency maintenance activities as needed. Maintain compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and applicable building codes. Utilize CMMS software to manage maintenance activities, equipment records, and work orders. Communicate technical issues and recommendations effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Must Have Qualifications Engineering degree. 5+ years of facilities engineering or technical engineering experience. Strong experience supporting commercial or industrial HVAC systems, water systems, and compressed air systems. Experience performing root cause analysis (RCA), preventive maintenance development, and equipment lifecycle planning. Experience developing job plans and validating equipment commissioning documentation. Proficiency using CMMS systems and Microsoft Outlook/email. Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Nice to Have Qualifications Experience within a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment. OSHA 10 Construction certification. Previous experience leading or mentoring maintenance technicians. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
Pay:
$36.00 - $38.65 per hour
