Job Description

Purpose of Job This position is responsible for managing and executing a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks supporting multiple facilities. Job Functions Can independently execute the following functions: basic/finish carpentry, basic electrical tasks, small equipment operation, basic plumbing tasks, physical movement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

Can execute the following functions under supervision/guidance from others: lawncare, lock, key and hardware tasks, motor repair, pump repair, hospital beds, kitchen equipment, medical gas and air systems, water softening systems, domestic hot/cold water systems.

Demonstrates the ability to independently troubleshoot, identify, follow up and correct a variety of building deficiencies.

Coordinates assigned areas of responsibility to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education/Work Experience High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functionsAbility to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned aboveAbility to multi-task and prioritizeDemonstrates effective skills in planning and organizing daily activitiesKnowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work autonomously and as a team License/Certifications Hazardous Spill Certification within 1 year of employment, annually thereafterAsbestos Awareness Certification within 1 year of employment, annually thereafterOSHA Certification within 1 year of employment, annually thereafter Preferred Qualifications 2 years of work experience in a healthcare setting CPR Certification Physical Demands of this Position Compensation Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity. Pay listed does not include any shift, weekend, or other differentials.
