This role owns design from load calculations through construction administration, working with an in-house prefabrication facility. A PE license and mission-critical experience are strongly preferred. What We Offer Base salary starting $130,000-160,000 per year DOE. Full-time, on-site position. Key Responsibilities - Mechanical Engineer Design HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems for healthcare, data center, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Systems include chiller and boiler plants, cooling towers, steam and condensate, hydronic, medical gas, domestic water, and sheet metal duct. Perform heating and cooling load calculations, energy analyses, and equipment selections. Apply N+1 and 2N redundancy strategies to mission-critical cooling systems. Produce calculations, specifications, design narratives, and construction documents in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural, electrical, technology, and fabrication teams. Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and equipment selections. Support site investigations, commissioning, and construction administration. Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, IMC, IPC, NFPA, and local codes. Mentor junior engineers and serve as a technical resource for clients. Qualifications - Mechanical Engineer Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years of mechanical design experience in a consulting engineering or design-build environment. HVAC and plumbing design experience on large commercial, healthcare, institutional, or mission-critical facilities. Strong knowledge of chilled water, heating hot water, boiler, steam, hydronic and process piping, and duct systems. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of ASHRAE, IMC, IPC, NFPA, and local building codes. Strong communication and client-facing skills. Preferred Qualifications - HVAC Design Engineer Professional Engineer (PE) license and 8+ years of consulting or design-build experience. Healthcare design experience in hospitals, surgical centers, laboratories, or medical office buildings. Data center experience on Tier II to IV facilities, including
CRAH/CRAC
units, water-cooled and air-cooled chiller plants, and central utility plants. Experience with Carrier HAP, Trace 3D Plus, Bluebeam, and BIM coordination platforms. LEED AP or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credential. Physical Requirements - Mechanical Engineer Primarily office-based design work at a computer for extended periods. Periodic visits to active construction sites, mechanical rooms, and central plants. Site PPE required. Ability to climb ladders, walk uneven surfaces, and access tight equipment spaces. Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Standard weekday schedule with travel under 10 percent, mostly regional. Extended hours as project deadlines require. #HP
