Full Job Description Responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep for our hotel, oversee all maintenance projects and ensure preventative maintenance is completed timely and accurately. The Chief Engineer directs all other maintenance staff and assigns responsibilities when needed. This position works closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure a smooth operation. Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools. Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment. Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy. Keep records of rooms completed. Program phone equipment according to hotel needs. Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis. Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer. Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets. Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies. Learn emergency procedures. Other duties as assigned by the leader Education and Experience HS Diploma or equivalent 2+ years of previous repair/maintenance experience preferred Licenses/Certifications Technical licenses such as: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing etc. are helpful Benefits PTO offered after 1-year of employment Hyatt employee discount at participating properties
