Job Description

Building Engineer
  • Reactive Maintenance Commercial Realty Advisors, LLC (CRA) is seeking a dependable, skilled Building Engineer
  • Reactive Maintenance to join our team.
This position is responsible for providing responsive, high-quality maintenance and repair services across an assigned portfolio of commercial properties. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver who can work independently, prioritize multiple service requests, and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Plumbing and/or electrical experience is a plus. The Building Engineer will represent CRA in a professional manner at all times and will be expected to contribute positively to our team-oriented culture while following all company safety policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day maintenance and repair services for multiple commercial properties, including daily travel between assigned locations. Flexibility and willingness to respond to changing priorities are essential. Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on building systems and equipment. Assist HVAC technicians and outside contractors with building-related mechanical and maintenance needs. Conduct life-safety inspections and assist contractors with fire alarm systems and water-based or dry fire protection system shutdowns, testing, and related work. Perform general interior repairs and installation, including ceiling tiles, wall coverings, vinyl tile, carpet, cove base, window blinds, signage, and other building finishes. Maintain accurate and timely service records, work orders, and reports using cloud-based maintenance and property management software. Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, vendors, and contractors. Qualifications & Skills Previous commercial building maintenance or facilities experience preferred. Plumbing and/or electrical experience is a plus. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Professional communication and customer service skills. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn cloud-based maintenance and work-order systems. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Flexibility to travel between multiple properties and participate in a rotating after-hours emergency schedule. Why Work for CRA?
