Maintenance Engineer Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Maintenance Engineer to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support safe and efficient plant operations. The Maintenance Engineer will provide technical support for production and facility equipment, develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, lead equipment reliability improvements, and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues. This position will work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement sustainable solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to reliability, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement . Key Responsibilities Improve the reliability, availability, and maintainability of production and facility equipment. Troubleshoot recurring mechanical, electrical, controls, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process equipment problems. Lead root-cause analysis of equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions. Develop, optimize, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs . Analyze equipment downtime, failure history, maintenance costs, and other performance data to identify improvement opportunities. Develop equipment maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, inspection standards, and technical documentation. Recommend equipment modifications and engineering improvements to increase reliability, safety, quality, and productivity. Provide engineering support for new equipment installations, commissioning, and startup activities. Support spare-parts optimization by identifying critical components and appropriate stocking requirements. Support maintenance planning and scheduling activities as needed. Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance costs while maintaining or improving equipment reliability. Ensure maintenance and engineering activities comply with applicable safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering , or a related technical discipline. Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting abilities. Knowledge of industrial equipment and maintenance practices. Understanding of preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and root-cause analysis. Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and equipment specifications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced operating environment.
