As the Chief Engineer, you will oversee all engineering and maintenance operations for the property, ensuring building systems, equipment, and facilities are operating efficiently and effectively. Benefits for Full-Time Employees Include Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance Paid Time Off 401(k) Benefits for All Employees Full-Time and Part-Time Include Employee Discounts Growth and Advancement Opportunities Sick Pay What You Will Do As a Chief Engineer, you will: Lead and manage all engineering and maintenance operations for the hotel Supervise, train, coach, and develop maintenance team members Oversee preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public spaces, and building systems Ensure proper operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire safety, and life safety systems Manage departmental budgets, purchasing, and inventory of supplies and equipment Coordinate repairs, renovations, and capital improvement projects Respond to maintenance emergencies and operational issues as needed Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve maintenance concerns Collaborate with hotel leadership to support overall property performance and guest satisfaction What We Are Looking For We are seeking leaders who are: Strong problem-solvers with excellent technical knowledge Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities Effective communicators and team builders Committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence Dependable, proactive, and results-driven Guest-focused with a service-oriented mindset Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager, or similar leadership role Experience managing maintenance operations within a hotel or hospitality environment preferred Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems Experience with preventive maintenance programs and capital projects Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements Trade certifications or technical training preferred Physical Requirements and Essential Job Functions This position requires both administrative and hands-on maintenance responsibilities.
Candidates must be able to:
Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the property Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds Bend, reach, climb ladders, crawl, kneel, and work in confined spaces as needed Operate maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery safely Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions Respond to emergency situations that may require after-hours availability Maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced hospitality environment Ready to Apply?
