  • HVAC Controls Engineer/Project Manager
  • NYC We are seeking a HVAC Controls Engineer/Project Manager.
Responsibilities will include BAS Systems Integration, optimization, and Full Systems Replacements including project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction for all assigned projects within the Commercial HVAC Controls / Building Automation space. You will lead the project team through all facets of the project and is established as the point of contact for all stakeholders. The portfolio of projects will contain multi-building or complex controls projects. In this role, the Controls PM will be expected to mentor team members and act as a subject matter expert on HVAC controls for the business.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in EE, ME, CE, Math or Physics, preferred or equivalent experience
  • Strong interest in building automation and controls required.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in the HVAC/controls industry
  • BACnet, Modbus, Niagara Experience Required
  • DDC controller programming, third party device integration with BACnet and Modbus Required.
  • Experience with mechanical system operation.
  • Basic understanding of the construction process preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiating and organizational skills.
  • Competency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Automated Logic WebCTRL experience a plus.
Duties:
  • Develop custom energy reporting, power metering, trending, and billing programs.
  • Produce drawings, sequences of operation, and bills of material of building automation systems for submission to project Engineers/teams.
  • Develop BMS software databases (programming and graphics) in accordance with engineering documents and project specifications.
  • Design, integrate and support network migration for Internet / Ethernet / BACnet / Modbus platforms.
  • Maintain accurate As-Built drawing package and make changes in AutoCAD, Visio, Excel and Word as required.
  • Visit the field as necessary to adjust design sequences to operate correctly with the actual system(s) and remain on site as necessary to complete functional checkout and commissioning activities in support of technicians to meet project schedules.
