Job Description
Selmet, a PCC Structurals company, seeks a Plant Facilities Engineer to support complex titanium casting operations for aerospace and defense customers. In this role, you will own the reliability, maintenance, and improvement of plant utilities, building systems, and critical infrastructure. You'll plan and execute preventive maintenance, lead facilities projects, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Working closely with production, EHS, and engineering teams, you'll use data, lean methods, and root-cause analysis to drive uptime, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement in a demanding, high precision manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Oversee operation, maintenance, and reliability of plant facilities, utilities, and building systems in a titanium casting environment Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, compressed air, water, and power distribution systems Lead facilities projects, including equipment installation, upgrades, and layout changes to support production needs Ensure facilities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements; support audits and inspections Analyze equipment performance data and implement root-cause problem solving to improve uptime and energy efficiency Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and vendors, ensuring quality work, proper documentation, and safe practices Support capital planning with scope, cost estimates, and schedules for facility improvements Collaborate with manufacturing, EHS, and engineering teams on continuous improvement and lean initiatives Maintain facilities drawings, asset records, and maintenance documentation in CMMS or similar systems Provide on-call or off-shift support as needed for critical facility systems and projects Required Skills Facilities engineering Industrial utilities (HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, power) Preventive and predictive maintenance Project management Root-cause analysis and troubleshooting CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement Reading engineering drawings and P&IDs Safety and environmental compliance Contractor and vendor management
