About the role MIINC Mechanical is seeking a BIM Detailer to design and create layouts for plumbing and mechanical systems to be installed in new and existing commercial and industrial buildings and sites. This role will be responsible for coordinating system layouts during the design process with other trades and ensuring designs are accurately developed for field installation. The BIM Detailer will work closely with project teams to interpret construction documents, develop detailed drawings and models, and generate the documentation needed for installation, fabrication, procurement, and project close-out. Responsibilities Design and create layouts for plumbing and mechanical systems for new and existing commercial and industrial buildings and sites. Coordinate plumbing and mechanical layouts during the design process with other trades. Develop shop drawings with annotations for submission and approval. Create detailed drawings and documentation used for field installation. Generate schedules with quantity and description listings for materials and equipment. Create spool sheets and drawings for fabrication. Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) for parts purchasing and procurement. Prepare as-built drawings for project close-out. Read and interpret construction documents from all trades, including print drawings, specifications, submittals, and schedules. Collaborate effectively with project teams and other individuals in a schedule-driven construction environment. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the design and documentation process. Qualifications & Skills Experience detailing plumbing and mechanical systems in a commercial or industrial construction environment. Field experience in the plumbing and mechanical trades is preferred, or equivalent experience in plumbing and mechanical detailing. Proficient knowledge and use of Autodesk software products, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Trimble or similar document management software. Ability to read and interpret construction documents from all trades, including drawings, specifications, submittals, and schedules. Strong understanding of plumbing and mechanical systems and construction practices. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively with various project team members. Ability to work effectively in a schedule-structured environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
