Job Description

BC LYND HOSPITALITY
LLC, is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the hotel's facilities. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff, contributing to the overall guest experience and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance on all hotel equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other mechanical systems. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations and guest services. Collaborate with the hotel management team to develop and implement maintenance strategies and schedules to enhance operational efficiency. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and inventory of supplies to ensure efficient operations. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety checks and training as necessary. Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or installations, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Assist in energy conservation initiatives and recommend improvements to reduce operational costs and environmental impact. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Participate in hotel management meetings to discuss maintenance priorities, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
Required Education:
Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience in a similar role may be considered.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering or maintenance roles, preferably within the hospitality industry. Demonstrated experience in managing and maintaining hotel facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance. Proven track record of leading a team and managing projects in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong technical knowledge of building systems and equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members, guests, and vendors. Proficiency in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the operational needs of the hotel.
