Full-Time / On-Site Position Summary - This is NOT a hybrid position. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VDC Plumbing Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing detailed 3D plumbing models, supporting BIM coordination efforts, and producing accurate shop drawings for a variety of multifamily residential projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a solid understanding of plumbing systems, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Create, develop, and manage 3D plumbing models using Revit for BIM coordination and shop drawing production. Assist with material takeoffs and quantity tracking using Revit. Ensure all designs comply with applicable plumbing codes, local amendments, and company standards. Review construction documents and identify discrepancies or coordination issues. Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to support project execution. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines. Follow established project schedules and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Qualifications Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is required. Demonstrated experience in BIM modeling and coordination, specifically for plumbing systems. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an engineering, plumbing, or mechanical contracting environment. Proven ability to produce high-quality shop drawings with minimal supervision. Experience reviewing construction drawings and generating RFIs. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Thorough knowledge of state and local plumbing codes. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline is preferred but not required. Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) or Certified Plumbing Design Technician (CPDT) certification is preferred. Preferred Skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
