JOB DESCRIPTION

The Brownfield Facilities Engineer provides operations support and surveillance for existing assets. This role is responsible for leading individual small projects to completion, debottlenecking new production volumes and batteries when needed, closing out potential safety and risk hazards through engineering actions, minimizing downtime of existing assets, and optimizing production at existing assets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in area Risk Assessment, HAZOP's, Hazard Hunts, and Critical Operating Parameter Reviews Lead incident investigations (downtime, process safety related) Support Opportunity management - identification of opportunities and development of scope of work for projects Conduct risk assessments on new facility projects, existing facilities and closure of mitigating action items Lead performance testing and plant based trials Develop operating guidelines for facilities Provide coaching and mentoring of fellow and junior colleagues

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, independently engage cross-functional teams, and drive work forward to meet deadlines and business objectives Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
