Job Description

The Data Center Infrastructure Operations organization is looking for an individual with proven skills to help support our Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Facility Operations Center. The Facility Operations Center is responsible for 24X7 monitoring of the data center's physical infrastructure. This team will ensure that the customer experience will be optimal and gratifying by way of consistency, reliability and attention to detail. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of Data Center Infrastructure as well as have proficient computer and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assistance and support to the onsite operations teams. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work. Key job responsibilities
- Able to properly respond, acknowledge, investigate, and dispatch critical alarms
- Monitor the facility infrastructure platform
- Perform change management tasks
- Create and issue tickets
- Follow verbal and written directions
- Have an intermediate level of understanding of critical infrastructure
- Proficient computer and communication skills
- Required shift-work, overtime, and/or rotating schedules to support a 24X7 environment (Rotating shift work equates to weekends, nights, holidays and overtime shifts) A day in the life The Facility Operations Center (FOC) serves as the centralized 24/7 remote monitoring center for AWS data center's critical physical facilities infrastructure systems.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience in technical support, or experience troubleshooting and documenting findings
- 1+ years of customer facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with BMS and EPMS control systems and data collection or trending
- 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
