Job Description

As the Chief Engineer at Sleep Inn and Suites, you will be the driving force behind the maintenance and functionality of our facilities.
Your responsibilities include:
Overseeing and managing the maintenance and engineering teams. Conducting routine inspections and implementing preventive maintenance programs. Addressing and resolving technical issues promptly to ensure the safety and comfort of guests. Collaborating with other departments to support the overall operation of the hotel. Managing budgets, procurement, and contracts related to maintenance and engineering. Upholding a high standard of safety and environmental compliance.

Proven ability to lead and motivate a maintenance and engineering team.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of engineering principles and maintenance tasks.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify and address complex technical issues efficiently.

Your First Few Months:
In your initial phase, you will familiarize yourself with our hotel's engineering and maintenance standards and procedures. Working closely with your team, you'll actively contribute to maintaining a high standard of facility operations, ensuring a positive and secure environment for our guests.
Additional Requirements:
Previous experience in a chief engineer or senior engineering role is required. Availability for varying shifts, including weekends and holidays. Strong organizational and communication skills. Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
