Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Independently performs electrical and mechanical assembly of prototype systems and processes. Configures laboratory test systems using CF, KF, NPT, and VCR fittings for vacuum and gas-handling setups. Wires assemblies and creates test cables. Uses equipment such as multimeters, signal generator, oscilloscopes, Lakeshores for temperature measurement, vacuum pumps, and vacuum gauges. Troubleshoots problems or performs routine maintenance on equipment such as compressors, scroll vacuum pumps, and turbomolecular vacuum pumps. Works on chilled water systems or liquefied gas systems. Assists senior technicians, engineers, and scientists in the execution of project milestones and deliverables. Assists in documentation of existing systems and processes. Performs general lab maintenance and organization, engages in 5S events. Operates or troubleshoots cryogenic and electromagnetic equipment with a strong safety mindset.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR). High school degree or equivalent with 4-6 years of experience in the field. Practical, hands-on experience working with vacuum systems, particularly configuring laboratory test systems using CF, KF, NPT, and VCR fittings for vacuum and gas-handling setups. Experience with wiring assemblies and creating test cables. Experience with chilled water systems and liquefied gas systems. Experience with equipment such as multimeters, signal generator, oscilloscopes, Lakeshores for temperature measurement, vacuum pumps, and vacuum gauges. Experience troubleshooting problems or performing routine maintenance on equipment such as compressors, scroll vacuum pumps, and turbomolecular vacuum pumps. Experience working in an R D setting. Experience writing and developing SOP documentation. Experience with LabVIEW and/or Python.
