Engineering Technician responsible for building, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and validating industrial and embedded computer systems in support of engineering and manufacturing operations. Job Requirements Associate degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on technical experience. 1-2+ years of relevant technical experience. Hands-on experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software. Experience installing and supporting Windows and/or Linux operating systems. Experience building, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting computer systems. Experience following technical documentation, schematics, procedures, and test plans. Experience using diagnostic and troubleshooting tools. Ability to work onsite in an engineering or manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills 5-10 years of hands-on technical experience. Experience with industrial computers or embedded computer systems. Experience creating and maintaining operating system or software images. Experience supporting new product development and product validation. Experience configuring manufacturing test systems. Experience creating or modifying basic test scripts. Experience supporting products through transition from engineering development into production. Job Responsibilities Build, configure, and test industrial and embedded computer systems. Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues. Install and configure Windows and Linux operating systems. Create and maintain software and operating system images for different hardware configurations. Execute engineering and product test plans. Document test results and identified issues. Perform system-level hardware and software validation testing. Use diagnostic tools to isolate hardware, software, and system configuration problems. Support engineers with new product development and validation activities. Support manufacturing during new product introduction and production launch. Configure manufacturing test systems and basic test scripts. Create and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and engineering notes. Support product, process, test, and quality improvement activities. Track technical assignments against project schedules and testing requirements.
