Overview Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position The Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting New Product Development (NPD) efforts through assembly, modification, testing, and documentation of engineering concepts for prototype and pre-production purposes. The individual will play a critical part in achieving a smooth and timely transition of concepts from prototype to production phases 2. Major Responsibilities - reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: Under direction of an Engineer or suitable proxy, build and test proof of concept, prototype, and pre-production system and components. Document and create reports of test results. Generate simplistic work instructions to transition to engineering for the assembly of product that was discovered as a result of development. Assist with print and documentation reviews, assuring that all specifications, standards, and other pertinent documentation accurately reflects lessons learned. Develop tooling and fixturing concepts that could be converted for production purposes. Coordinate with suppliers to acquire quotes and purchase items as needed Other tasks as assigned. 3. Qualifications and Job Demands

• Associates degree in a technology based field preferred (2- year Manufacturing Technology Certificate) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a machine shop or assembly environment preferred.
• Experience with Electrical wiring and routing preferred
• TIG welding experience preferred
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills 4.
