Engineering Technician Shift:
40 hrs., M- F Days, 7:00 am
- 4:00 pm/8:00 am
- 5:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
The Engineering Technician demonstrates willingness to perform any required task to support medical center operations. Routes work orders to appropriate craft/shop for follow-up and completion. Checks DIN book at each nurse's station and makes repairs or reports them to Facilities Management. Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings for job completion. Maintains current and accurate work order documentation within 24 hours of work performed. Ensures quality of work with no more than two callbacks on the same job per month. Consistently meets preventive maintenance schedules. Maintains knowledge of main panels and shutoffs for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned. Monitors building conditions and communicates needs to Facilities Management. Covers shifts or specific assignments as required by medical center needs. Performs repairs and preventive maintenance as directed.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
