Structure Technician - Air Frames Level III Mustang Services, LLC Job description This position supports the F/A-18 aircraft modificationprogram. The role centers on systematic kit installation and structural maintenance. Must be able to deploy to international and off-site locations. This work potentially involves safety of flight items and demands absolute technical discipline with a "zero-defect" mentality.
Kit Installation :
Execute technical modification kits on F/A-18E, F/A-18F, and EA-18G platforms with zero-defect precision.
Structural Integration :
Perform drilling, fabrication, and assembly of metal components to facilitate critical upgrades.
Fastener Operations :
Install rivets and various metal fasteners required to maintain structural integrity.
Corrosion Mitigation :
Perform expert-level corrosion identification, removal, treatment, and prevention.
Technical Inspections :
Conduct
QAR/CDQAR
inspections of maintenance procedures affecting safety of flight.
Cross-Functional Support :
Provide "cross-pollination" by assisting other team members in various functional areas.
General Airframe Maintenance & Rigging :
Repair and replace aircraft fuselage components, wings, surfaces, and airfoils to OEM standards, including the removal, installation, and rigging of flight control surfaces.
Regulatory Compliance :
Strictly adhere to the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) and all associated technical directives.
Technical Qualifications :
Ability to obtain/maintain certifications for corrosion control, hydraulic contamination , and other necessary technical qualifications.
Support Equipment :
Ability to obtain/maintain qualifications for any Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) and specialized tooling.
Security Clearance :
An active Secret Clearance is required.
Global Deployment & Travel :
Must be willing and able to travel domestically and overseas with a valid passport.
High-Tempo Schedule :
Willingness to work 10-hour days during peak installation periods.
Travel & Deployment Details :
Primary Hubs :
Personnel are primarily based at NAS Lemoore, NAS Oceana, NAS Whidbey Island, or MCAS Iwakuni.
Off-Site Rotations :
Teams deploy to NAS Fallon, NAS Patuxent River, or NAS China Lake, etc. for specific installation cycles.
Deployment Duration :
Potential off-site rotations for extended periods on occasion.
Pay Range :
$87,000- $91,000 per year
