Our work is published for industry adoption through the Open Compute Project Foundation. We are looking for a skilled AI Accelerator Module Validation Engineer to join our team. The Module Validation Engineer will own and drive module-specific test plans and testing in conjunction with module Electrical Engineers and Power Engineers. The role involves working in a cross-functional environment with multiple parallel programs on production paths. This role is critical to ensuring Meta's module and MTIA roadmap modules meet quality, reliability, and performance requirements before entering mass production. The engineer will partner with ODM partners to ensure vendor-owned testing meets Meta standards and will advance test methodologies across the accelerator module product portfolio. Hardware Engineer, AI Accelerator Module Validation Responsibilities Own and drive module-specific validation test plans across the full product lifecycle (EVT, DVT, PVT, MP) in conjunction with module EE and Power Engineers Execute and oversee electrical, thermal, signal integrity, and power delivery validation testing for server and AI/HPC modules Advance test plans and methodologies across module products, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional, performance, reliability, and compliance requirements Evaluate and ensure ODM/JDM partner (e.g., Quanta) testing plans, procedures, and results meet Meta's quality and reliability standards Ensure equipment, resources, and contingent workers are effectively allocated and driving closure for module testing milestones Develop, document, and maintain validation test procedures, specifications, and acceptance criteria Perform root cause analysis and failure analysis on test escapes and field returns, driving corrective actions to closure Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Thermal, Firmware, and Supply Chain to ensure holistic product readiness Define and track validation metrics and KPIs; provide regular status updates and risk assessments to program leadership Drive continuous improvement of test infrastructure, automation, and lab capabilities to support scaling across multiple parallel programs Partner with Data Center Site Operations and NPI teams to incorporate field feedback into validation requirements Minimum Qualifications BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline 8+ years of experience in hardware validation, test engineering, or product qualification in a server, networking, or high-performance computing environment 4+ years of experience developing and executing validation test plans covering electrical, thermal, and mechanical domains Knowledge of server module architectures including memory (DDR4/DDR5/HBM), high-speed I/O (PCIe, CXL, NVLink), and power delivery systems 4+ years of experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, thermal chambers, and data acquisition systems Demonstrated expertise performing root cause analysis and driving corrective actions across cross-functional teams Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent validation programs Experience conveying technical findings in writing and verbally to engineering and non-engineering audiences (e.g., validation reports, test summaries, program reviews) Preferred Qualifications MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field 8+ years of experience in hardware validation or test engineering for data center or AI/HPC products Experience working directly with ODM/JDM manufacturing partners in Asia (e.g., Quanta, Foxconn, Wistron) Familiarity with industry standards such as JEDEC, OCP, and Intel/AMD platform validation methodologies 8+ years of experience with environmental stress screening (ESS), HALT/HASS, and accelerated life testing 8+ years of experience with signal integrity and power integrity validation (eye diagram analysis, jitter measurement, PDN impedance characterization) Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash) for test automation and data analysis 5+ years of experience with ASIC/accelerator module validation (GPU, TPU, or custom AI accelerator modules) Knowledge of statistical methods for test data analysis (Cpk, GR&R, Weibull analysis) Prior experience scaling validation processes from prototype to high-volume manufacturing About Meta Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses. $173,000/year to $245,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
