Electrical Characterization Engineer ||Palo Alto, CA We are looking for an experienced Electrical Characterization Engineer with a strong background in automotive electronics validation, hardware characterization, and design verification . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with ECUs, Battery Management Systems (BMS), battery electronics, power electronics, or vehicle electrical systems and will be comfortable debugging hardware at the PCBA and component/IC level . What we're looking for 10+ years of experience in electrical/electronics validation, characterization, hardware testing, or design verification Strong automotive experience involving BMS, ECUs, battery electronics, power electronics, or vehicle electrical architectures Hands-on DV testing, functional validation, board bring-up, characterization, and troubleshooting Experience developing and executing hardware validation and characterization test plans Strong knowledge of PCBA-level and IC-level testing Hands-on experience with: Oscilloscopes Power supplies Electronic loads Digital multimeters Logic / protocol analyzers Strong Python scripting skills for test automation, data acquisition, and analysis Experience with
CAN, LIN, CAN
FD, and/or Automotive Ethernet Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, mixed-signal hardware, and power electronics Experience with root cause analysis, failure analysis, and corrective actions Ability to collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, reliability, validation, and manufacturing teams Highly desirable: Experience with EMC/EMI testing, WCCA, DFMEA, battery systems, PCB validation, environmental testing, and production-readiness testing .
