Job Description
NVIDIA's invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, we are increasingly known as "the AI computing company." We're looking to grow our company and build our teams with the smartest people in the world. Join us at the forefront of technological advancement. We seek a Senior Circuit Methodology Engineer who is a skilled tools architect to lead designing, improving, and evolving our in-house methodology applications. This role will develop new tools, improve and maintain existing ones, and promote their use across various departments to achieve rapid tapeout schedules, better design quality, and efficient AI integration within our flows! What you'll be doing: We need someone who will architect, develop, and collaborate with our software development teams to implement new in-house tools that support mixed-signal project, cell specification, and circuit deliverable tracking. Be encouraged to identify, prototype, and collaborate with software development teams to deploy AI/ML capabilities into the tool ecosystem. In addition, this engineer will own and improve existing internal applications, ensuring they remain robust, maintainable, and aligned with evolving design methodology and business needs. Your work will define and drive tool integration into multi-department flows (circuit design, verification, VLSI, CAD) to streamline handoffs and reduce tapeout cycle time. Responsible for establishing and communicating guidelines for tool usage, including onboarding, documentation, training, and support processes. Additional responsibilities may include adding telemetry and metrics to measure adoption, usage, data quality, and impact on schedule and circuit design quality. Ensure that methodology tools actively improve mixed-signal build quality through better specifications, checks, and traceability of requirements.
What we need to see:
BSEE, BSCE, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of working experience related to circuit design methodology, CAD/EDA development, or internal tools engineering for semiconductor design flows. Exposure to, and experience with AI algorithms/flows, and their integration into tools is strongly desired. Good understanding of mixed-signal or analog/RF design flows and the corresponding EDA ecosystem. Background in process/flow engineering aimed at tapeout schedule reduction and design-quality improvements is a huge plus. Coding experience considered a benefit. NVIDIA is renowned as the leader in AI computing and one of the world's most innovative and desirable employers. MSDV team consists of individuals who demonstrate outstanding creativity and critical thinking skills, driving innovation forward. If you're passionate, creative, and eager to work on the cutting edge of technology, this is the perfect team for you! Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 136,000 USD - 218,500 USD for Level 3, and 168,000 USD - 264,500 USD for Level 4. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Applications for this job will be accepted at least until May 16, 2026. This posting is for an existing vacancy. NVIDIA uses AI tools in its recruiting processes.
