Develops designs for the installation of components and assembliesinto chassis, racks, cabinets,workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters. Plans, directs, reviews and coordinates preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met. Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports. Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems using various tools and techniques, such as fault analysis, signal tracing, and debugging. Repair or replace faulty components, such as circuit boards, power supplies, or mechanical parts. Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, calibration, and testing, to prevent future hardware failures Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, or manufacturers to resolve complex hardware issues or to design and implement repairs. Develop and implement repair procedures, protocols, and standards to ensure efficient and effective hardware maintenance. Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of hardware failures and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Maintain accurate records of repairs, including documentation of faults, repairs, and test results. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related STEM discipline Minimum 5 years of professional experience, or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree Experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF equipment, and other lab/test equipment Experience building custom cable assemblies Ability to work independently with minimal direction and exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and approaches Prior experience managing labs and lab equipment with complex electronics systems Track record of hands on experience Desired Skills Hardware troubleshooting and repair experience in lab, depot, and production environments Solder experience The ability to effectively communicate intricate technical details An internal drive and desire to figure out and solve problems Experience in the design, development, and production phases of a contract Experience working across multiple disciplines Familiarity with ISO/AS quality principles/practices
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:

For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
