Summary:
This senior-level role will lead the design, maintenance, verification, and integration of mixed-signal electrical systems used in regulated medical devices. The engineer will own board-level hardware work from architecture and schematic capture through PCB layout, debugging, reliability analysis, and standards-based verification while mentoring junior engineers and partnering across technical teams. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with at least 2 years; 5+ years of experience is strongly preferred for the leadership scope. End-to-end mixed-signal board design experience, including architecture, circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout, design verification, and strong signal/circuit analysis fundamentals. Medical-device hardware experience with OrCAD and working knowledge of
IEC 60601-1
electrical safety and regulated verification testing. Responsibilities Develop and maintain mixed-signal electrical systems, specifications, schematics, PCB layouts, and verification plans for medical and surgical devices. Use oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and related lab equipment to integrate, debug, test, and validate hardware performance and reliability. Lead technical planning, address obsolete components and complaint trends, assess regulatory impact, mitigate project risks, and mentor junior engineers. Important Notes Onsite role in Lafayette, Colorado, working a standard Monday through Friday, 40-hour schedule. This is a 12-month contract assignment supporting regulated medical and surgical device products. The work supports regulated medical and surgical device platforms, including energy-generator, lung-health, and gynecological product lines.
