Our team delivers high density, high reliability electronics that power precision engagement systems for the United States and allied militaries. What You Will Be Doing As the PCB Layout Designer you will own the complete layout process for complex, multi-layer surface mount and mixed technology assemblies, ensuring every board meets performance, reliability, and manufacturability goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing high density, high speed PWB's (10+ layers, double sided) using blind, buried, and micro vias, and handling high pin count BGAs, LGAs, and other fine pitch devices. Performing component placement, trace routing, impedance control, and signal integrity optimization for both surface mount and limited thru hole, flex, or rigid flex sections. Creating fabrication artwork and assembly drawings that follow Lockheed Martin MFC design processes and
IPC 2221
standards. Conducting design rule checks, DFM reviews, and iterative revisions to resolve clearance, thermal, or manufacturability issues. Collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to capture requirements, validate interfaces, and ensure seamless integration with the overall system architecture. Coordinating with suppliers and the manufacturing floor to verify stack up, material selections, and production tolerances. Maintaining version controlled layout files in the PLM environment (Windchill) and ensuring complete, traceable documentation for Design Assurance Reviews. Providing technical mentorship to junior layout staff and promoting best practice design techniques across the team.
