Job Description
Senior PCB Design Engineer responsible for hands-on PCB layout and design of complex multilayer, high-density, high-speed, RF, power, and mixed-signal circuit boards. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 7+ years of hands-on PCB layout and design experience, with PCB design as a primary job function. Advanced proficiency with Cadence Allegro PCB Designer/Editor. Experience independently completing complex PCB layouts. Strong knowledge of IPC standards. Knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes. Experience designing multilayer PCB stackups. Experience with controlled impedance routing. Experience with high-density PCB layouts. Experience working within structured release and configuration management systems. Experience applying signal integrity, power integrity, EMI mitigation, grounding, and thermal design techniques. Preferred Skills IPC CID or CID+ certification. Experience with high-speed digital interfaces including DDR, PCIe, and SERDES. Experience with RF layout and transmission line design. Experience with BGA fan-out and fine-pitch components. Experience with power distribution network design and decoupling optimization. Experience with high-speed, RF, power, and mixed-signal PCB designs. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) requirements. Job Responsibilities Develop PCB layouts from released schematics, netlists, and engineering requirements. Perform component placement and routing for complex multilayer PCB designs. Develop high-density and controlled impedance board layouts. Execute high-speed digital, power, RF, and mixed-signal PCB layouts. Apply signal integrity, power integrity, EMI mitigation, grounding, and thermal design practices. Develop multilayer stackups and controlled impedance routing strategies. Generate complete PCB fabrication and assembly documentation packages. Support DFM and DFT reviews and incorporate required design changes. Address technical PCB fabrication and assembly questions during manufacturing. Maintain PCB design data within established release and configuration management processes.
Pay:
