What you'll do: Design cost-effective, high-reliability printed circuit boards for automotive applications, with an emphasis on manufacturability, signal integrity, power integrity, and robust production release. Primary responsibilities include PCB layout design using Altium, performing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) rule checks, conducting signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) simulations using ANSYS, and incorporating simulation results into the final design. Create PCB layouts to meet project specifications, using Altium Designer. Collaborate with PCB suppliers to understand and implement fabrication requirements. Integrate manufacturing rules and perform DFM(Design for Manufacturing) checks to ensure PCB designs can be reliably mass-produced for automotive applications. Work with EMC specialists and electrical design engineers to understand design requirements and implement them effectively. Perform PCB-level signal integrity and power integrity analysis, including DC and AC drop analysis, and provide layout optimization recommendations based on the results. Perform bench verification using a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) to validate trace impedance and high-speed signal quality. Document test results, design checks, and verification activities performed on PCB designs. Prepare and release fabrication and assembly drawings, Gerber files, BOMs, and revision-controlled design documents What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. 5+ years of PCB layout experience, preferably in automotive applications. Experience managing ECAD library models to support the design process. Fluency with the Altium design workflow. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical concepts. Detail-oriented approach with the ability to document test plans, execute test procedures, and generate reports. Knowledge of PCB layout practices that support EMC performance and manufacturing requirements. Knowledge of high-speed PCB design concepts, impedance control, and signal-quality optimization within the layout. Understanding of PCB fabrication processes and laminate material selection. Experience using a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) to verify trace impedance and signal quality. Self-driven, proactive approach to completing tasks and solving problems.
