See It Built. ECE is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who likes the hands-on side of engineering: drawing schematics, working through tough circuit problems, bringing up boards in the lab, and seeing those designs turn into real products. You'll own your work from concept through production. That includes board-level design, microcontroller-based systems, power supplies, bring-up and test, and working with our firmware engineers to get the hardware and software talking. Since 1991, ECE has designed and built high-reliability electronics for military, aerospace, and automotive customers. Our products go into places where failure is not an option. We're a smaller, technical shop, so you won't spend years on one corner of a giant program. You'll work directly with the people who build, test, and ship what you design. This is a product design role. You'll design the electronics that go inside the product, not program the equipment that builds it. What You'll Do Design board-level analog and digital circuits and create detailed schematics Develop microcontroller-based systems and supporting circuitry Design DC/DC power supplies and power management circuits Run circuit analysis and simulation in SPICE Support PCB layout (we use Altium) Select components and define electronic architectures from system requirements Bring up new boards and troubleshoot designs in the lab Work with embedded software engineers to integrate hardware and firmware Develop test methods and support verification, validation, and qualification Write technical documentation, requirements, and traceability records Work directly with customers and other engineers to solve problems and get products to market What We're Looking For You don't need to check every box. The core of what we need is an EE or CE who has designed embedded hardware at the board level and enjoys being hands-on with it. Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field 5+ years of relevant engineering experience Schematic and board-level circuit design Designing with microcontrollers Analog and digital circuit design Power supply and power management design SPICE or similar simulation tools Hardware bring-up, debug, and validation Especially Valuable Automotive, aerospace, or defense electronics experience Embedded software development in C/C++ Altium Designer Also a Plus MATLAB/Simulink FPGA development Motor control or power electronics

You're comfortable moving between the bench and the computer, you can explain your thinking to people outside your discipline, and you don't get rattled when the answer isn't obvious. Most of all, you still like engineering and want to see what you design get built.
