Job Description

Overview We are currently seeking someone with focus on Access Control Systems (ACS), Cloud Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Visitor Management Systems (VMS), Facial Detection/Recognition, Mobile Access, and building infrastructure network and technology. With deep understanding of monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software equipment that supports the smooth operation of the building infrastructure, both on-site and remotely. Additionally, you will collaborate with the team to keep technology up to date and take on new projects to enhance building security. Most projects are in New York City or New Jersey. Travel to the Rahway office is not required. Being able to regularly commute to projects in New York City is a requirement. Travel to client projects is reimbursed.
Technical Execution & Systems Engineering Responsibilities:
Security Systems:
Install and support cloud-based and on-premise Access Control Systems (ACS),CCTV, Visitor Management Systems (VMS), and Facial Recognition technology.
Infrastructure & Power:
Configure building infrastructure networks, including Altronix & Lifesafety power supply components and fire alarm tie-ins.
IT & Network Security:
Manage Windows-based environments (10, 11, Server 2016), SSO integrations (OKTA/Active Directory), Group Policy, and NAS storage.
Database & Integration:
Utilize API/Webhooks and SQL to extract/manipulate data and generate system reports.
Mobile & Hardware:
Setup and deployment of new hardware, including proficiency in managing iPhone, iPad, and Android mobile devices for security applications.
Project Management and Field Operations Responsibilities:
Onsite Surveys & Design:
Conduct comprehensive site surveys to assess requirements and document findings to guide the design process.
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop detailed project plans, milestones, and timelines for "sprint" projects.
Risk & Compliance:
Identify potential onsite challenges and propose solutions.
Basic Hardware Qualifications:
Install, support, and troubleshoot all aspects of the Access Control System cloud & on-prem, cloud CCTV, Visitor Management System, Facial Detection/Recognition, Mobile Access, andbuilding infrastructure network and technology. Provide timely and professional technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person. Manage data and information that adhere to levels of confidentiality with respect to privacy laws. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and updates on desktops and laptops to meet IT Security Compliance Assist in the setup and deployment of new hardware and software. Collaborate with team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues. Document and maintain accurate records of support requests, solutions, and troubleshooting steps. Follow standard operating procedures for incident management, problem resolution, and request fulfillment. Participate in rollouts, upgrades, and migrations. Demonstrate proficiency in using iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Develop and assist in composing system documentation. Travel to various New York City properties, with occasional domestic Conduct thorough onsite surveys to assess the security system requirements of client locations. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop detailed project plans and timelines. Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project implementation and timely completion. Provide technical expertise and guidance during project meetings and discussions. Document survey findings and project requirements accurately and comprehensively. Identify potential risks and challenges during onsite surveys and proposing effective solutions. Monitor project milestones, deadlines, and budgets to ensure successful project execution. Adhere to industry standards and regulations while implementing security system installations. Keep up to date with the latest security technologies, trends, and best practices related to access control, CCTV, and visitor management systems. Education and Experience 3+ years of experience in a security systems installer/service support environment. A degree in Computer Electronics or Digital Electronics is highly beneficial. Proven ability to manage technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Requirements:
Strong troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software. Familiarity with Ubuntu/Linux and SQL.
Preferred Certifications:
AXIS, Avigilon, Verkada, Eagle Eye, Brivo, LenelS2, or Genetec.
Physical & Travel:
Ability to travel within the Tri-State area, with occasional domestic travel.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
