Job Description

Job Description This Systems Engineer will focus on building sub-systems and sub-assemblies for spacecraft, integrating ICs at the system level and being able to clearly articulate the deficiencies of what's currently available on the market. You'll define specs for new integrated circuit product development, demonstrating ROI to leadership through TAM research, competitive landscape analysis, and customer feedback. Day to day includes creating/maintaining customer-facing datasheets, overseeing the spec compliance matrix with input from IC Design/Verification/Radiation Effects/Production Test teams, negotiating specs and architectural trade-offs, working with onboard computer systems, and sitting in on board/circuit layout discussions directly alongside component manufacturers (e.g., Micron, TI).   • Bachelor's/Master's in EE or related field
  • 5+ years of combined avionics engineering and IC systems experience, specifically building/integrating sub-systems and sub-assemblies for spacecraft
  • Experience with onboard computer systems for space or aircraft
  • Familiarity with IC layout tools (KiCad or Altium) Demonstrable technical innovation (architecture, patents, etc.
  • Radiation effects / radiation-hardened systems background
  • Aerospace and/or defense industry experience (space systems for defense preferred)
  • Familiarity with defense prime processes and the new-space ecosystem
ITAR/EAR
export-control awareness, QML/AS9100 familiarity
  • Experience with document control tools (PLM) Direct, hands-on experience working alongside component manufacturers (e.
g., Micron, TI) in meetings where boards/circuits are actually laid out
