The Role:

Our site in Aurora, IL is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated EHS Co-Op to join our Environmental, Health & Safety team. This role will provide hands-on experience supporting key safety and compliance initiatives while contributing to our organization's overall safety culture. The co-op will assist with ongoing projects, audits, and employee engagement activities tied to our defined EHS objectives

What You'll Do:

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs, focusing on: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures Machine guarding initiatives Ergonomic risk assessments and improvements Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)

ISO 14001

(Environmental Management) and

ISO 45001

(Occupational Health & Safety Management) systems Assist in conducting audits, inspections, and gap analyses related to the above objectives. Participate in EHS training development and employee engagement initiatives to promote a strong safety culture. Collect, analyze, and present EHS data to support performance metrics and reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions. Provide general support to the EHS department as assigned.

Strong interest in workplace safety, health, and environmental management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Desired Major(s) &

Graduation Year:

Environmental, Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Graduating in December 2027 or later. Eligibility Must be a currently enrolled student Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June. Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program
