You will provide daily, hands-on support and guidance, collaborating with employees, contractors, and leadership to identify risks and implement effective EHS solutions in a dynamic industrial setting. Your primary focus will be the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs. You will be instrumental in analyzing process changes to prevent negative EHS impacts and driving initiatives that reduce employee risk and enhance environmental performance. Success in this role requires a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset. You will be responsible for developing and delivering EHS training, conducting audits, and managing critical documentation and reporting. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in hazardous waste management, root cause analysis, and safety principles to support our organization's commitment to a Zero Harm workplace. How You'll Make an Impact Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs aligned with regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, DOT) and company standards (e.g., ISO 14001/45001). Ensure process changes are evaluated for EHS impact and risks are mitigated before implementation. Manage site waste management activities, including hazardous waste characterization, storage, and disposal procedures. Prepare and submit required EHS reports and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and conform to business requirements. Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments in the manufacturing environment to identify and correct hazards. Lead or participate in incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and track corrective and preventive actions to completion. Facilitate Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for new or modified tasks and equipment to ensure safe operating procedures. Develop and deliver EHS training content for employees, contractors, and management on topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, and safe work practices. Act as a visible EHS presence on the shop floor, providing daily coaching and mentorship to foster a strong safety culture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to integrate EHS principles into daily activities and projects. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in EHS in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred Certifications nice to have: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP), OSHA 30-Hour General Industry, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) Knowledge of EHS Regulations including: OSHA Regulations (General Industry), EPA & DOT Regulations, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Standards, and Waste Management Principles preferred Technical & Analytical Skills such as Root Cause Analysis, Risk Assessment & Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Incident Investigation, EHS Auditing & Inspection Professional Skills such as: Cross-functional Collaboration, Training & Mentoring, Stakeholder Engagement, Technical Report Writing Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
