Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead the design and execution of fire protection systems for hyperscale data centers, government facilities, and other secure/mission-critical environments. This is a senior technical role responsible for developing fire protection strategies, leading complex designs, coordinating across engineering disciplines, and mentoring junior engineers. Job ResponsibilitiesLead the design and execution of fire protection systems for mission-critical and secure facilitiesDevelop and review fire suppression, fire alarm, and life safety system designsServe as a technical expert and client liaison for fire protection scopesEnsure designs comply with NFPA, IBC, IFC, UFC, and client-specific requirementsCoordinate with architects, MEP engineers, security professionals, and other disciplinesProvide technical guidance and mentor junior engineersSupport proposal development, project scoping, and schedulingTravel to project sites as needed, approximately 15-25%Qualifications8+ years of fire protection engineering experienceExperience with hyperscale data centers, government, secure, or other mission-critical facilitiesBachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering disciplineProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredFPE preferredStrong knowledge of NFPA standards, IBC, IFC, UFC, and client specificationsExcellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skillsProven ability to provide technical leadership and work effectively across multidisciplinary teamsSoftwareProficiency with relevant fire protection design and modeling tools, preferably:RevitAutoSPRINKHydraCADSimilar fire protection design/modeling softwareProject TypesThis position will primarily support hyperscale data centers, government facilities, secure facilities, and other mission-critical projects, with additional exposure to healthcare, higher education, commercial, industrial, and federal facilities.
