PM Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to lead and support safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing and implementing EHS programs that protect employees, ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and foster a culture of safety excellence. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Preferred:

Automotive manufacturing or heavy industrial experience. CSP, CIH, or other professional EHS certifications. Experience with EHS management systems and data analytics. Bilingual English/Mandarin, Spanish, or other language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities:

Safety & Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Lead internal audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities. Maintain environmental permits, hazardous waste records, safety documentation, and regulatory reports. Risk Management & Incident Prevention Conduct job safety analyses (JSA), hazard assessments, and risk evaluations. Develop and implement safety procedures related to machine guarding, chemical handling, fall protection, PPE, and other workplace hazards. Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Training & Safety Culture:

Develop and deliver employee safety training programs, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE usage, emergency response, and workplace safety practices. Lead safety committees and promote proactive reporting and behavior-based safety initiatives. Drive a culture focused on accident prevention and continuous improvement.

Environmental Management:

Oversee air emissions, wastewater, hazardous waste management, and environmental compliance programs. Support sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship.

Emergency Preparedness:

Develop and coordinate emergency response plans and drills. Serve as a primary point of contact during workplace emergencies and coordinate with external agencies when necessary.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

Track and analyze EHS performance metrics and trends. Prepare OSHA logs, compliance reports, and management presentations. Partner with Operations, Engineering, HR, and leadership teams to improve workplace safety and compliance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workplace safety regulations. Experience conducting audits, investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action initiatives.
