25% In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Actively promotes health, safety and environmental awareness and applies technical expertise in the design, implementation and management of health, safety and environmental engineering controls within the site(s). Provides technical support cross-functionally to ensure compliance with Atmus internal requirements, applicable health, safety and environmental regulations and industry standards. Responsibilities To be successful in this role you will need the following: Actively demonstrates safety awareness and promotes positive health, safety and environmental culture coaching others to do the same. Ensures employees are consulted and given the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures. Works cross-functionally, providing technical expertise, improving hazard prevention and risk control measures, non-conformities, corrective and preventive actions, driving continual improvement within the site(s). Contributes to daily health, safety and environmental operations within the site(s) providing support to solve complex technical issues. Leads hazard identification, environmental aspect identification and risk assessment programs to identify risk improvement opportunities and gaps in health, safety and environmental compliance obligations. Drives targets and objectives for the design, implementation and maintenance of complex hazard prevention and control systems to reduce or eliminate potential risk. Develops and leads training, skills development and internal communications related to hazard prevention and control for employees within the site(s). Leads development of technical content ensuring it is up to date, controlled and available while adhering to data privacy regulations. Evaluates and interprets site health, safety and environmental data, legal compliance findings, and internal and external audit results to develop improvement plans using a risk-based, data driven approach. Contributes to site(s) Health, Safety, Environmental Management Systems review annually in conformance with Cummins internal requirements. Participates in site audit preparation and formal audit processes. Coaches and develops cross-functional teams and/or direct reports based on stakeholder feedback, and observations. Actively seeks opportunities for self-development through professional health, safety and environmental organizations, as a champion of emerging trends.
Qualifications Education:
College, university, or equivalent degree required. Health, Safety and/or Environmental degree preferred. Progress toward Certified Safety Professional (CSP), NEBOSH or similar certification preferred.
Base salary range:
$78,548 to $88,367/year Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, other personal and professional benefits.
