•5:00 PM Must be available for occasional emergency response/on-call situations HSE Engineer Requirements Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred 5+ years of manufacturing EHS experience required Automotive or heavy manufacturing industry experience preferred Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other workplace safety regulations Experience with
OSHA 1910/1920
standards and regulatory compliance Experience conducting safety audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations Knowledge of machine safety, chemical safety, SDS, fall protection, and lockout/tagout procedures Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to analyze safety data and develop improvement initiatives Experience with EHS software and reporting systems preferred CSP, CIH, or related safety certification preferred Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Mandarin preferred Key Responsibilities Develop and execute EHS strategies to promote a zero-incident safety culture Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, DOT, and other applicable regulations Lead internal safety audits and support regulatory inspections Maintain environmental permits, safety documentation, and required compliance reports Conduct job safety analyses (JSA), process hazard assessments (PHA), and workplace risk evaluations Implement corrective actions following incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA) Manage safety programs including PPE, lockout/tagout, emergency response, and employee training Lead safety committees and promote proactive safety reporting initiatives Oversee environmental programs related to air, water, waste management, and sustainability efforts Develop and conduct emergency response plans and safety drills Track EHS metrics, maintain OSHA reporting requirements, and present safety performance data to leadership Partner with operations, engineering, and production teams to ensure safety compliance Support contractor safety management and new project safety initiatives Conduct safety walkthroughs across production shifts as needed Perform additional EHS duties as assigned About Crown Staffing Crown Staffing is hiring an Health, Safety, & Environment Engineer for an automotive manufacturing facility in Louisville, KY.
