Job DescriptionThis role is specifically within the SLS division of
Associates will work with Senior Fire Protection Engineers to design and develop Life Safety and Fire Protection systems. They are encouraged to spend time developing skills in particular areas of interest. Projects will focus on adherence to quality standards through plan reviews and technical reports. Projects will have components of but will not be limited to the following: egress design, code research, smoke control system design, fire-resistant construction analysis, performance-based design, fire sprinkler design, and hazardous material analysis.
Associates are expected to have strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills to effectively support team efficiency. Associates should also be detail oriented and possess superior problem-solving skills.
QualificationsBachelors degree in the engineering or architecture disciplines required5-7 years of relevant experience in Fire Protection and Life SafetyEngineering in Training (EIT) Certification preferredExperience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Suite encouragedExperience with CONTAM, Pyrosim, FDS, and/or PathFinder desirableExceptional analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and teamwork skillsStrong written communication skillsPerform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or managerAdditional Information
