- Quality Health Safety Environmental Intern | | | Are you ready to kickstart your engineering career with hands-on experience at the world's leading agriculture enterprise?
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work alongside skilled HSE professionals to enhance workplace safety, develop environmental practices, and ensure regulatory compliance;
- Participate in risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend improvements;
- Conduct regulatory research and keep compliance initiatives aligned with relevant legislation and best practices;
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to promote safety awareness and environmental responsibility across the site;
- Assist in preparing HSE documentation, reports, presentations, and compliance records;
- Support the implementation of Operational Excellence and site-wide safety improvement initiatives, including standards compliance and day-to-day HSE activities.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, and completed at least your sophomore year with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0;
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Able to commute daily to our Kansas City, MO site and available for the internship period (May 17
- August 6, 2027);
- Willing and able to climb stairs and ladders and comfortable working in a dynamic chemical plant environment. |
